We’ve compiled a list of upcoming speech therapy conferences happening in the US, for our North American readers. Will you be attending any of them?
1. 2022 NJSHA New Jersey – Annual Convention – April 28 – 29, 2022
It will take place at: Ocean Place Resort & Spa, in Long Branch, New Jersey.
In 2022, the NJSHA Convention will be back in person!

2. 2022 ISHA Annual Hybrid Convention – February, 2022
– Live, in-person sessions running concurrently February 11-12, 2022 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
– Virtual, on-demand sessions available through February 2022.

3. 2021 ASHA Convention – November 18-20, 2021
The ASHA Convention is the largest annual professional education event for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists. Bringing together approximately 15,000 attendees, the Convention provides unparalleled opportunities to learn about the latest research, expand your clinical skills and techniques, discover new products and resources, and network with colleagues.
The 2021 convention will be a hybrid event. It will take place in person at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC, while also offering an online library of pre-recorded digital sessions.
4. 2022 KSHA Convention – February 16-18 2022
This convention will take place at the Kentucky international Convention Center, in Louisville, Kentucky.
If you’d like to participate, the organizers advise that you book a hotel room early.
While the call for professional presentations is now closed, poster submissions are still open until January 2022. Check out this link if you’d like to submit a paper to this convention.
5. 2022 Apraxia Kids National Conference – July 7-9 2022
This conference will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It will include stand-up presentations, discussion panels and posters. The topics covered include evidence based assessment and treatment of CAS across all ages, social aspects, education and academic challenges, co-occurring disorders and advanced topics.
The Apraxia Kids National Conference is the only major conference on the speech, language, learning, and life needs of children with apraxia. The National Conference brings together parents, professionals, educators, and others who are seeking the most up-to-date and in-depth learning opportunities available.

6. TSHA 66th Annual Convention and Exhibition – February 24-26
It will take place in Fort Worth, Texas. The TSHA Annual Convention & Exhibition serves as a recognized resource in Texas for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, the citizens of Texas with speech or hearing disorders, and students of speech-language pathology and audiology. The event brings together speech-language pathologists and audiologists who are highly educated professionals who provide critical, life-changing help for hundreds of thousands of Texans of all ages and from all walks of life.
Attendee registration should open up soon, so make sure you check their website periodically and keep an eye out for updates.
7. 2022 MSHA Convention – April 7-10, 2022
This conference will be held in Osage Beach, Missouri.
You can still submit student posters until December 1st, 2021, the details can be found at this link. In the meantime, you can enjoy the many workshops held by the MSHA throughout this fall and winter!
8. 2022 CSHA Convergence – March 24-27, 2022
This conference will take place in Pasadena, California.
In 2021, this event was a virtual conference on account of the Covid-pandemic restrictions. The cool thing about it is that this program meets the qualifications for a maximum of 24.5 hours of continuing professional development credit for Speech- Language Pathologists and Audiologists, as required by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
Not much information is available for the 2022 event as of yet, but if we are to judge by the 2021 edition, it will be very exciting!
9. 2022 SHAV Conference – March 16-19, 2022
It will take place in Norfolk, Virginia.

The organizers say that the conference mission is to promote awareness, diversity and collaboration in the professions of audiology and speech-language pathology through empowerment and advocacy for members and the community in order to ensure best practices.
10. 2022 MSHA Annual Conference – March 24-26, 2022
– This event will take place at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, East Lansing, Michigan.
– It is titled “Connecting Our Diverse Pathways: Highlighting and Embracing Difference and Change”
