1. Listen!

Sit back to back and close your eyes. Listen carefully to the surronding sounds. If you are inside your home, you can hear cars outside, neighbours speaking on the hallway, dogs barking or the sounds on TV.

Can your child recognize and name all these sounds?

Ideally, play this game outside, in a park, or anytime your child is bored or laking patience (for example, whenever you are waiting at the doctors).

2. Exercise your mobility!

  • Stay together in front of a mirror and stick out your tongue as hard as you can.
  • Move you tongue up and down, left and right.
  • Make circles with your tongue out, then tap each tooth with the tongue.
  • Alternate bwtween covering your upper lip with the lower lip, and the other way around.
  • Purse your lips and strongly blow air out, as pronouncing b and p letters.
  • Press your lips together in forward pout and make a funnel with your mouth, as pronouncing o and u letters.
  • Raise and lower your lower jaw, then move back and forth, left and right.

3. Guess what you have tasted!

Choose different types of food (sweet, salty, sour, flavorful) and place them on a plate. Cover the child's eyes and let him or her taste every food. The child has to guess what each one is, and if not, describe the taste, texture and consistency of the food. It's a great way to get your child to try new food!
